Tofu paradise

One of the most amazing things about Japan and especially Kyoto is the wonderful tofu they produce.

“We would never make tofu just to satisfy a passing taste;
our objective is to offer a simple and casual tofu cuisine to be enjoyed over the long term.”

But of course it is not just the production but also the creative ways they serve tofu as a meal.

We sought out a little place at the Kyoto station (a foodie paradise in itself!).

Kyotofu Fujino Restaurant at JR Kyoto Isetan

This place is on the 11th floor of the Isetan Department store. Wow, what an experience.

The menu

I can tell you that you do NOT need to be vegetarian to enjoy this place. It is absolutely great for everyone. Wish I could go back right now!!! If you are passing through Kyoto then give it a go.
