Five reasons to visit Chinatown in Yokahama

When visiting Japan you often feel you should eat lots of original Japanese cuisine. But sometimes you just want some variation. There are many options from Italian to Indian as well as lots in between!  One area in Yokohama is Chinatown.

Five reasons to visit:

  1. It is very colourful and full of interesting displays of food.
  2. It is exceptionally clean and feels safe.
  3. There are many friendly places to eat.
  4. You can get veggies!
  5. It is good value.

We ate at Wangfujing in the downstairs casual part of the restaurant. Some people were heading upstair where it might have been a little more glamorous. Some photos of our meal:

Visited Chinatown Yokohama in July 2016. We ordered more than we needed: Dumplings, Fish soup, Green veggies, Eggplant, tea and a beer – cost us about AUD65.
