Today was the last day of our visit. The weather was so funny since it dropped from 42 to 21 just overnight.
We started out the day on a mission to shoot for our blog – we stopped at The Queen Victoria Building for coffee – nothing special to report just an okay coffee. Onward we walked to visit the Opera House via the Strand Arcade. It was showery so we didn’t hang around too long and decided to walk back to our hotel for a cup of tea, and then check out.
After checking out, we set out for the Grounds of Alexandria as we have been following them on Instagram for a year. We walked from the train station for about 12 minutes and finally came upon the Grounds.
It was super crowded as we wandered around. It is like a small market with some livestock and cafes. People were having special occasion parties. We
sought out a cafe but due to crowds gave up. All in all the experience didn’t match our consumption vision! But, we got some nice photos.
We left feeling deflated and walked on to Macca Espresso. We had soup and toast with marmalade. One nitro coffee and one soy Cappuccino. It was fine but probably we would not make the effort to revisit.
More walking – 20,000 steps or more and off to airport where our flight was delayed by 1.5 hours. The joy of travel!! One blogger was suffering from shin splint for two days after long walk. Now the busy bloggers were worn out and enjoyed a cup of tea at Veloce at Sydney airport.
