Day trip in James Street, Brisbane

Recently, The Urban List Brisbane reviewed lots of new cafes and restaurants along James Street, in Brisbane which raised our desire to do a day trip to James Street for the sake of our tummies. Haha!

Our first stop was Pineapple Express Superfood Box, bringing health-nut, organic and fresh-obsessed vibes from Hamilton.

We ordered their brand new “Apple Crunch” bowl, made with Acai, Banana, Manuka Honey, Apple & Cinnamon, Granola, Coconut Flakes, Stewed Apple, Cinnamon & Manuka Honey. SOOO YUMMMM! If you visit James Street, it definitely should be on the “MUST TRY” list. By the way, their coffee is very nice too! Another surprise for us! If you prefer very strong coffee flavour, order double shots!

“Hmm, no more photos please! Just want to eat my bowl!!!”

After finishing the bowl, we felt quite filling so we decided to go for a walk along the street. Our first stop was The Sinmei Tea Room. This place has also been reviewed by one of our favourite Singaporean blogger Lady Iron Chef when he was visiting the same tea brand in HK. Now we can fulfill our matcha craving in Brisbane without long travel to HK. How great is that!

The Sinmei Tea Room in Scrumptious Reads locates within the Scrumptious Reads bookstore on James Street. So the ambiance is very peaceful and perfect for enjoying some reading time by yourself.

The Tea Room specialises in matching traditional green teas with beautiful goodies including delicate matcha molten cake and brownies. More importantly, all yummy goodies are healthy goodies!

After Sinmei Tea Room, we stopped by Lululemon James Street to get some yoga gear. Then it was almost time for lunch. We were not too hungry after a big superfood bowl, so we decided to have a simple lunch at the Fresh Sushi Co.. We ordered salmon rolls and seafood dumplings. Quite nice!

After lunch, we did some Xmas gift shopping at Pottery Barn. The most exciting gift is the Soft Burger Set we bought for our Ruby baby. So cute!!!

Finishing shopping we felt so hot and thirsty. What do you want when you feel hot and thirsty? GELATO! We searched the best gelatos in Brisbane on Urban List and found Gelateria Cremona. It is located in Paddington, on our way back to Gold Coast. So we decided to give it a go! It turns out that we made a right decision. The ice cream is yum yum yum!

We ordered two flavours: one was Saffron & Rose Water and the other one was Black Sesame. Truly delicious and worth the extra short drive out to this store.
