Multicultural events are great – you get learn a lot about other people’s cultures and taste some truly fantastic food. The Gold Coast in Queensland is home to an annual Multicultural Festival usually held at the Evandale Parkland. This year it was held on 1 November. Are some fantastic drumming by a Japanese team from great dancing and wonderful singing including some Italian opera.
Of course we can’t go past the food!
We walked around the park to check out all the different food vans to see what they had on offer. It was really exciting because there were Brazilian flavours, Dutch Proffertjes, Indonesian Tucker, Organic Drinks, Little Manila, Greek Street food, Kranksy Brother sausages, Kono Pizza (pizza in a cone!) and Persian food (Koobideh).
